Vivaah is a free matrimony app from the makers of marriagebiodata.app. It runs on Android and iPhone, in English, Hindi and Marathi. Making the profile takes a few minutes if the details are at hand.
Get the details ready
Who the profile is for. You can make the profile for yourself, your son or daughter, or your brother or sister. Every profile shows who manages it.
Basics. Name, date of birth, height and marital status. Add the time and place of birth if your family matches kundlis. Vivaah does not compute kundlis; families exchange them once both sides accept an interest, and their pandit compares them.
Education and work. Highest qualification, occupation type, occupation and annual income. You can hide your income from others. It still counts for matching.
Family. Father’s and mother’s occupation, brothers and sisters, family type and family values, and a short family introduction if you want one.
Photos. A few clear, recent photos. You can mark any photo private: it stays blurred to another profile until you both accept the interest.
Partner preferences. This is the step to talk through at home before you sign up. Vivaah asks for preferences such as age, height, marital status, religion, community, mother tongue, state, education, work, income and diet. Any of them can be made a must-have. Make the profile
- Download Vivaah from Google Play or the App Store.
- Sign in with your mobile number and the one-time code sent to it.
- Fill in the profile step by step. You can leave at any step and continue later from the same number.
- Set the partner preferences and mark the must-haves.
- Publish.
Made a biodata on marriagebiodata.app?
Sign in to Vivaah with the same mobile number you used to pay for a biodata on marriagebiodata.app in the past year. Vivaah finds the biodata and offers to import it: the name, gender, date and time of birth, and height fill in the profile. Check them before you finish. Education, family, photos and preferences are filled in the app.
A number with such a biodata is invited automatically, with no code needed.

Invite codes and the list
At the last step, the app asks for an invite code. What happens next depends on whether you have one.
Invited. You are invited if you sign in with the number of a recent biodata (above) or enter an invite code. Invite codes are six letters and numbers, from a member’s family or from Vivaah. The profile is saved, and all invited profiles go live at the same moment; the app shows when.
On the list. Without a code you can still make and save the whole profile. You are on the list. Vivaah welcomes families from the list in small groups and messages your number when it is your turn. The profile goes live the day you are welcomed in.
Member codes. Each member’s code welcomes three new families a calendar month. If a code is full for the month, the app says when it works again, and the profile stays saved.
The rules once you are in
- Only people who meet your must-haves can send you an interest.
- Nobody can send more than 20 interests a week.
- You see each other’s phone numbers and private photos only after you both accept the interest. Once you both accept, you can chat in the app.
- Report a profile from the profile page or from chat. Reporting also blocks it. Our team reviews every report, usually within a day, and takes the profile down if we find a problem.
