Delete your Vivaah account
In the app
- Open Vivaah and go to the Profile tab.
- Under Privacy & safety, tap Delete my account.
- Choose a reason, then enter the code we send to your WhatsApp.
What happens
- At once: your profile leaves Home and Search, its details are cleared, every conversation closes, every interest ends and you are signed out on every device.
- Shortly after: your photographs, edit history and matching record are deleted.
- People you messaged keep messages already delivered, under “Former member”, without your name or photos. A message can still identify you by what it says.
- We may keep some information after deletion, such as your number, the deletion date, and reports and blocks involving your account, as the privacy policy describes.
- If you are eligible to register again, you start a new profile. Deletion does not lift a ban, and earlier blocks still apply.
- Deleting Vivaah does not delete your account or biodata on marriagebiodata.app.
Without the app
Send the request below, or email support@vivaah.app with the subject “Delete my Vivaah account” and your registered mobile number. You do not need to reinstall Vivaah. We acknowledge the request and confirm it with you on your registered WhatsApp number before deleting anything. If you no longer have that number, email us for another way to verify. We delete the account once the request is verified and tell you when it is done.
We use what you enter here to verify and handle your request. We keep the request for 90 days after it is handled, then delete it. The name and note are optional. Do not include a one-time code or a copy of an ID.
